Dr. Esraa Fathy Dakhly, M.D. is a Physician, Clinical Nutrition Specialist, Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, and Certified CBT Therapist committed to advancing holistic health and evidence-based wellness. She earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University (2009), completed Clinical Nutrition studies at the American University in Cairo, and holds a Lifestyle Medicine certification from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (USA).
Dr. Esraa is an Internationally Certified First Aid Instructor and Trainer with Rescue Training International (Europe) and serves as the Clinical Director of the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Program. She is also a member of the American Nutrition Association, the World Public Health Nutrition Association, and the Academy of Eating Disorders (USA), where she contributes to the Social Media Committee and the Medical Care, Online & Social Media Committee.
As a medical and health writer, she is a special guest contributor to Brainz Magazine (Sweden), focusing on bridging evidence-based medicine with real community impact.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Esraa is a professional Masters swimmer, competing regionally and internationally. She holds Egypt’s first place in the 200m backstroke and 400m bifins, highlighting her dedication to athletic performance and women’s health.
Dr. Esraa is the founder of “Sport is Life,” a community-based initiative empowering women to engage in sports and adopt healthy lifestyle habits. Inspired by her own return to swimming as part of her recovery journey after postpartum depression, she advocates for physical activity as a vital tool for mental and physical well-being.
The initiative offers educational content, success stories, workshops, and motivational events—encouraging women of all ages and fitness levels to begin or continue their wellness journey.
